WordPress makes helping friends fun.

One of the things I’m really enjoying about having a little bit of WordPress know-how is being able to help my friends establish their own personal blogs and blogs for their businesses. It’s taken a few weeks to get it where we want it, but my friends Jeff and Liz Paton have their photography business up and running online thanks to WordPress and a handy theme from Woothemes.com.

The actual installation took the legendary “five minutes”; GoDaddy set up their database in record time and the whole thing uploaded quite quickly thanks to Transmit 4. We spent about a week finalizing the copy for their various content pages, and we’ve spent the afternoon today fine-tuning their theme. It’s really been a fun operation.

If you live in the Southern Ontario area and you’re looking for a photographer, check them out! They do great work. Check out their images and our mutual handywork at patonphotography.ca
